White Lies

Have you ever heard somebody say, it can’t be a lie, because there is some  truth to what I’m saying?  That is called a white lie. A white lie is a mixture of truth with a little lie. What makes a white lie so harmful, is that people don’t think their lying, because of the little truth that is in their lie.

A lie is a lie, no matter the size of it.  When you lie, you hurt yourself spiritually.  The more you lie the weaker you are with in your fight against evil.  A good example of a lie that went bad was Ananias & Sapphire “You have not lied just to human beings but to God.” When Ananias heard this, he fell down and died.” (5:4-5) I am not telling you that you are going to die if you lie, but I am telling that you are killing yourself spiritually every time you lie.   Telling the truth goes a long way, even if you made a mistake, it would be better to tell the truth and learn from your mistakes then letting lies snow ball into bigger lies. Look at Lies this way, every time you lie you are borrowing money from the bill collector. There will be a moment when he is going to come after you to collect. No matter how well you may be doing, in that moment he doesn't care, he wants what is his. He came to collect. If you don't pay up he will make your life miserable.

PTF, lying brings sadness, distrust, and worst of all, it displeases God. Let’s embrace truth. Truth brings peace to our hearts. Truth promotes a strong spirit and builds character. Lying only brings spiritual death, so don't tell them.

Faith + Action = Success

I’m sure you have heard before that faith is like a muscle, the more you use it the more it grows right? There is a reason for the need of muscles in our bodies, just like the reason God gave us faith.Your muscles
have a variety of roles in your body including protecting your bones and keeping your body moving. Your body structure will also become weaker with less muscles, witch opens the door for broken bones or bone fractures. God created faith for a reason. With faith you can fight and over come evil. With Faith you can accomplish your goals
in life. If your faith is not in use, then it is useless.

So PTF, how can we achieve success with Faith? First of all use it….
Don’t just say you have it.  “In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” (Jam 2:17)  You can say, “I want big muscles,” yet if you don’t do anything to achieve those muscles then you are just talking out load. Faith only works with action. Muscles grow or are strengthened by exercising and eating right.

There are different ways to express faith. We exercise our faith when we pray, believe, act, and trust in God . Believing God is listening. Believing in your faith with action is how we see changes in our life. Remember, be strong by exercising your Faith.

Mapping Your Future

Balamurali Ambati became the youngest doctor in the world after graduating at age 17 from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in 1995.  Raymond Singh, also 17, was the youngest student ever to enroll at ASU when the university accepted him at age 14. Singh, who has earned a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering. McBurnett, 17 became the youngest person ever to receive a bachelors of science degree from Arizona State University's College of Nursing and Health Care Innovation. Many of our pastors in the church first started as assistant pastors some entering the work of God at age 18.

What do all theses people have in common?  These people who are making a difference in the world started their professional careers at an early age. There were many sacrifices to get where they wanted to go. If you want to make a difference in your  future the time is now and not tomorrow. Ask your self, 3 simple questions. 1. Am I willing to sacrifice my time to get good grades? 2. What are my interests, what do I like to do? 3. What do I need to do to make my goals possible?

People make it far with will power, but you will make it further with the will and God on your side. Don’t be afraid. It is the time to map out your future. If you are not sure, ask God for help. “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” (Jam 1:5) God’s plan is for you to be successful.
PTF, remember you represent Jesus here on earth, so let’s make a difference.
