Sports & God

Barry Bonds, A Baseball player of the San Francisco Giants, points to the sky after cannoning another home run into McCovey
Stadium. Hines Ward, a wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers,
insists that, God was their side. After his team advances in the
playoffs because the opponents’ kicker misses two field goals.
Dwight Howard, the No. 1 pick in last year’s National Basketball Association draft, proclaims that he wants to use his faith to “raise the name of God within the league and throughout the world.” Pro football player Tim Tebow drew a crowd of about 15,000 to an outdoor Easter church service Sunday, telling the gathering it's important to be outspoken about faith.

“I can do everything through him who gives me strength.” (Phil 4:13)      Being competitive is a God given gift. Wanting to win is positive. Believing, and trusting in God is important for victory. Not just in sports....

PTF, let’s use our faith in everything we do and not be ashamed to share our faith.

  1. It's always good to have God in your mind because it will help you in whatever you ask him
